Before he was 10 Ferguson started playing poker though it was casual. In the year 1994 he began playing in tournaments in California. His first entrance to World Series of Poker was in the year 1995. This poker player won the 2000 WSOP by defeating T. J. Cloutier and earned prize money of $ 1.5 million. This legendary poker player helped launch the online site of poker Full Tilt Poker. He was the runner of National Heads-up Poker in the year 2005. In the year 2008 he made the finals for third time and defeated Andy Bloch to win the title. He is the record winner in four-year period of the tournament, with a record of 16-3.
